A brief history... Wonka Sound began quite a few years back with the purchase of a 4-track cassette recorder. Wow - four tracks! At the time it seemed amazing anyway - I could actually record my band and then rewind the tape to re-record and fix stuff! We definitely needed it. Life was good + the possibilities seemed endless until... I upgraded to an 8-track recorder. Even better! The Beatles never even had more than that! That poor machine got a ton of use + it was around this time that I really started to take recording seriously and began working with a bunch of local musicians in the area. After high school I attended Berklee College of Music (graduating in 1994 with a degree in Music Production and Engineering) and decided to step it up a bit. However, upon entering the real world and interning at a bunch of fancy-pants studios, I eventually got frustrated at the lack of hands on experience I was given (though the experience was great) and decided to start my own commercial studio - which over the course of a few major overhauls became Wonka Sound as it exists today. I love what I do and I take a lot of pride in my work.
